Amon Collective

Design of a collective housing block with mix use functions and parking in the lower floors. The building is positioned next to the river Torres and the entrance to the botanical garden Bolivar in the north of San Jose's central districts; this important transition between urban green and grey defined the program allocation and shape of the building.

The collective is aiming at a redefinition of its surrounding urban space in denial; it sets new boundaries for the private, public and collective domain. A series of similar urban acupunctures is proposed to reanimate the historical districts of San Jose.

The project proposal is developed and designed by the Micropolis group for a private client in San Jose, Costa Rica.
